Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) is a former mercenary soldier for the PMC Blackstone. While in Iraq, he gets framed for the murder of his lover, a civilian. As a result, he runs away and becomes a fugitive. He returns to South Korea and by chance, gets offered to work as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon Ah), the owner of JSS Security Company and wife of the presidential candidate, Jang Se Joon (Jo Sung Ha). He accepts the job in exchange for resources that he needs in order to get his revenge on another presidential candidate, Park Kwan Soo (Kim Kap Soo), who previously ordered the killing of his lover. In the meantime, Kim Je Ha gets assigned to guard Go Anna (Im Yoon Ah), the hidden daughter of Jang Se Joon, whose life is always threatened because of Choi Yoo Jin, her stepmother. 

Yes, ladies and gentleman, Ji Chang Wook is back, with nothing less than quality acting with a sprinkle load of hotness. I’ll guide you through why you should watch this. First of all if you have watched Healer (another Ji Chang Wook Gem) you’ll know that his action scenes are professional, and apparently he stepped up his game in this drama, so expect some moves :b. Secondly: do I really need to say more? Yes, as you can read I am too biased on the actor to actually write a helpful review. At first I really didn’t want Ji Chang Wook, to team up with an idol-turned-actress, it’s not that’s she’s bad but she’s not good either. However, the villain in this story, Choi Yoo Jin, portrayed by Song Yoon Ah, really took the audience by storm. Her acting was crazy, at one time I literally got chilled put by her. She was really impressive, she even took the spotlight from JCW when in the same scene (yes, that’s how crazy good she was). The storyline was okay, it became a little dull at times, and the romance was a little too much at times, but the suspense and political game kept it up. To conclude: JCW Fighting ♥

Drinking Solo Review

Background of the drama is set around a private institute for people preparing for their civil service examinations in Noryangjin, Seoul, South Korea. Story depicts people drinking alcohol alone for different reasons and the romance between Jung Suk (Ha Seok Jin) and Shin Ib (Park Ha Sun). Jung Suk is an arrogant, but popular instructor and Shin Ib is a rookie instructor. She struggles to survive in the private institute world.

The best thing that happened in this drama is the chemistry between the trio students, that are attending the institute. The way they act really makes me want to be in their circle. Also, oh boy, the way I related to their problems. Being a student is hard these days :'D The main leads problem was the lack of chemistry. This drama had a slow start, but it gets better towards the end. Though, there are some parts i had to skip because it was kind of boring and irrelevant to me. In the beginning the title did concern me, was it only about drinking? or did it have more to it. Well, half of the drama is just repeatings, even if you skip it you won’t miss much. Overall this drama is a good one if you don't focus on the leads love story and the alcohol, but the trio: Lonelyboy, Dumb and dumber.

Jealousy Incarnation Review

Weather caster Pyo Na Ri (Gong Hyo Jin) and news anchor Lee Hwa Shin (Jo Jung Suk) are long-time colleagues at SBC broadcasting station. Pyo Na Ri has had a crush on Lee Hwa Shin three years ago but things change when she meets the perfect man Go Jung Won (Go Kyung Pyo), a chaebol heir and close friend of Lee Hwa Shin.

Meanwhile, Sung Sook (Lee Mi Sook) and Ja Young (Park Ji Young), who are rivals in both love and career, gets entangled with Kim Rak (Lee Sung Jae), a restaurant owner and landlord of the building where Pyo Na Ri lives.

The most bizarre drama I ever encountered. From the description alone you can’t possibly expect how this drama unfolds. I liked it though, despite it’s bizarreness, it portrays some problems in society that’s not being mentioned. This drama might be a way to direct some awareness into the situation. I loved all the characters, except one. I’m not a big feminist or anything, but the way Pyo Na Ri was portrayed, was really pathetic for us woman, I really didn’t enjoy that part, more likely on the verge of uncomfortable. However, I more than enjoyed the fight between the two male leads and their childish jealousy. This drama made me laugh so much I felt like I was watching a variety. All in all, a really weird, different, all-around hilarious, and thought provoking drama.

Hong Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung) is a young woman during the Joseon Dynasty who disguises herself as a man named Sam Nom to support herself by ghostwriting and giving relationship advice to lovelorn men. A love letter that Ra On writes for a client brings her in contact with Lee Yeong, who is the Crown Prince Hyo Myeong (Park Bo Gum), the first son of King Sunjo (Kim Seung Soo) and heir to the throne, as well as his trusted guard Kim Byung Yeon (Kwak Dong Yeon). Through a series of events, Ra On gets sold into the Royal Palace as a eunuch and is assigned to work for Royal Consort Soo Ki (Jun Mi Sun) and Princess Young Geun (Heo Jung Eun). Ra On becomes embroiled in a political power struggle with Queen Kim (Han Soo Yeon) and her father, Prime Minister Kim Hun (Chun Ho Jin), who somehow manage to keep King Sunjo in a perpetually weakened, hallucinogenic state. Prime Minister Kim is grooming his grandson, Kim Yoon Sung (Jinyoung), to take over the throne but that would put the young scholar in direct competition with his childhood friend, Lee Yeong, to become the next king. With Ra On and Byung Yeon by his side, can Lee Yeong fight the power-hungry ministers to claim his rightful place in history? 

This just became one of my favorite drama this year. 2016 has really brought alot of different kdramas, and i’m lovin’ it! And with those dramas, a lot of young, new and talented actors/actress’ are coming to the spotlight. The personal acting chemistry between Kim Yoo Jung as young, fearless and joyful Hong Ra On and Park Bo Gum as Crown Prince Lee Yeong is the heart of the drama. The youthfulness and impressive acting skills of Kim Yoo Jung ( who is only 17) interacting with equally talented Park Bo Gum (who is only 23) is a marvel that lingers in the mind long after we have turned off our computers. One thing this drama has teached me is that politics is a dirty dirty game, but our crown prince knew how to play it! I seriously loved everything about this drama, the acting, storyline, the directing and of course the OST! This is a drama I highly recommend, saeguk fan or not, this appeals to your every need ;)

Cinderella and Four Knights Review

Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) is in the third grade of high school. She hopes to become a teacher which her late mother always wished for. Ha Won has a bright personality and a strong set of morals, but she is unhappy at home. She's unattached from her father, step-mother and step-sister and also mistreated. Ha Won works various part-time jobs to pay for her upcoming university tuition fees. She knows she needs to make more money to pay for the storage of her mother's ashes at the cemetery. Meanwhile, Kang Ji Woon (Jung Il Woo), Kang Hyun Min (Ahn Jae Hyeon) and Kang Seo Woo (Lee Jung Shin) are spoiled cousins and live together in the mansion Sky House. With their different personalities. After various accidents Eun Ha Won ends up working part-time at the sky-house. 

Sorry for the dull plot description, but I felt like if I said more or left something else out, it wouldn’t make much sense. One of the reason are the writers, (yes I blame them), because what’s up with writers forgetting the plot halfway through the drama. This was a preproduction drama, so it can’t be the ratings that changed the scripts. I won’t say what it Is, because that would spoil the drama, but I tell you it’s annoying. Now the actors, Jung Il Woo, you are soon-to-be 30-ish, why play a 20-year-old? Some actors can pull it off, you were sadly not one of them. On the other hand, he had great chemistry with Park So Dam (and she did a great job herself), so let’s call it even! The whole cast were great EXCEPT one. The whole 16 episode drama, I kept wondering why, oh god why, cast Son Na Eun. She was so bad she hit a whole new record on bad acting. Maybe that’s the award she’s after. All in all, it’s a good drama, to use as a hangover cure after watching a really good drama.

A Witch's Romance Review

Succesfull, single and soon to be 40 years, that’s the witch Ban Ji Yeon (Uhm Jung Hwa). After being dumped at her own wedding, she has dedicated her life to her work, and that have earned her the title of being a well-known reporter at Trouble Maker and a witch by her co-workers. After some misunderstandings she gets her own assistant, Yoon Dong Ha (Park Seo Joon), who is 14 years younger than her. While everyone else in the office is betting for how long the new assistant will survive, a new romance is starting.

… 14 years?! Are you kidding me! Why? That’s what first came in mind, when I came upon this drama. But I’m such a Park Seo Joon and Yoon Hyun Min fan I had to watch this. And I’m quite surprised how I managed to finish this in 2 days. Even though the couple had a 14 years difference, their chemistry and the way they tackled the age difference made me forget everything about it. In some point I even convinced myself it wasn’t that big of a deal. The characters and even the work related scandals were all very well worked through and realistic, while still having that comedy twist to it. What I really liked about this drama was Uhm Jung Hwas, she’s not that good of an actor, but that made the character more real, I guess you have to watch to know what I mean :b
