The Vineyard Man Review

Title: The Vineyard Man
AKA: The Man in the Vineyard
Genre: Romance, Comedy, Family
Episodes: 16
Broadcast period: 2006-Jul to 2006-Sep
Cast: Oh Man Suk, Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Soon Jae, Kang Eun Bi, Kim Ji Suk and Jung So Young.

Lee Jin Hyun (Yoon Eun Hye) is a spoilt, snobby girl, who has been pampered all her life. She is an aspiring designer, and has talent for it, but hasn’t had the chance to show it yet. One day she makes an “expensive-looking” dress, and wears it for a party, so that she can show it of tomorrow at a fashion show. As she is inside the bathroom, she is robbed the dress, so she calls the police. By pure coincidence, Jang Taek Gi (Oh Man Suk) enters the bathroom, and she tries to strip him (she thought he was a police officer and mainly to get some cloths), all gets messed up and he is accused of trying to rape her. After a night on the station, they get out, and she runs to the fashion show to find out that her manager (boss) had taken her dress, and taken the credit for it.
When she returns home, she is told that her grandfather, Lee Byung Dal (Lee Soon Jae) owner of a vineyard, a plantation of grape-bearing vines, has come to give Ji Hyun the 2 billion $ worth vineyard, BUT she has to stay there a year and learn how to farm. Having a lot of debt, she agrees, and is immediately hit by nature, as she arrives. Not alone does she not have a shower, toilet or time to sleep, Park Hong Yi (Kan Eun Bi), a girl that is in love with Taek Gi, wants to make life hard on her.
At one point she is fed up, so she leaves the vineyard, and is about to board the train, she meets with her long time crush Kum Gyung Min (Kim Ji Suk), a sunbae in her school time, who has become a doctor. Then she decides that in order to get his heart, she is going to inherit her grandfather’s vineyard and work hard to learn farming. As she is learning farming, she bumps into Kang Su Jin (Jung So Yung) the ex-girlfriend of Taek Gi, whom he doesn’t want to talk about.

This drama is the best Korean drama (next to God of Study) that I’ve seen. Yes, the story is typical, but its way more heart pleasing and fun, and not to mention meaningful. This drama has a lot of heart, and deals with today’s society’s view on people with less known degrees. Like if you were to choose between a doctor and a farmer, which would you choose? Isn’t hard, huh...
I love the storyline, the dialogues and not to mention humour (finally some I can understand). There is ONE thing that I didn’t like: the main actor’s way of reacting. It feels like he’s a bad actor, even though he all the way through is pretty favourable. I like Yoon Eun Hye, always did, and she didn’t let me down this time. All in all, love it 

Jenji's Verdict
Aaaahhh nice . I thought it would be one of those typical korean dramas with an annoying spoiled city girl and all but actually it was really nice.. I liked the story a lot and i liked that there werent too many people involved in the love story. The actors were great to , i really liked the girl she was lots of fun and cute too.. and the guy hehehe he was great too. And i loved that the last episode showed their life AFTER everything was settled like them getting married and all cause most dramas just end with a.. kiss or something. But here we also get to see how their life gonna be and all.. I enjoyed the drama much more than i thought i would. and omo haha the grandfather he was like come wht u waiting for get married!
