Xia He Jia (Lan Cheng Long) is a famous author, who has made himself a celebrity status by writing screenplays for famous movies and TV shows. This leads him to have an arrogant personality, and believes that he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He also believes that there isn’t a woman that can’t be handled, meaning her can get ANY woman ANY time.

When he finds out that supermodel Amanda (Bianca Bai) on an interview says that she doesn’t date because she only wants to date the one guy that will love her for real her: basically making her unreachable. This makes He Jia want her.

After he crashes Amanda’s movie premiere and happens to injure the director of the movie, he is forced to do 158 hours of community service in a kindergarten. There he is bullied by Ma Xiao Qian (Sonia Sui), which he can’t comprehend, since he IS Xia He Jia, but Xia Qian has her reasons: the two were neighbors as kids, and he made life a living hell for her then, so it’s time for payback…

Ah~ this drama is great. I really missed these kinds of dramas, the ones that give you that crippling in your stomach… At a point I was really blushing, not because of the scene but because of the words, really womanizer… Lan Cheng Long is officially the hottest Chinese I’ve ever seen :P Well, I liked him in Easy Fortune Happy Life as well, but this made it official. I liked the surrounding stories, they weren’t heavy nor long, just the right amount. But on the other hand the minus is the LOOOOONG love story of the lead couple, I just found her annoying at the end, even though I sort of understood her. The ending was tacky, though funny, but still VERY Chinese with the kidnapping… tsk..

The characters were perfectly made, like really thought through, which I enjoyed.

It’s sort of a grown-up drama, with loads of comedy twists that make it youthful, so I sort of recommend it

Easy Fortune Happy Life Review

Yan Da Feng (Lan Cheng Long) the granson of the Chairman of the Ba Bao Tang company, he's always been thaught not to rely on anyone and that the only rule in the world, is the surviving of the fittest. His cousin, Yang Yang (Xiu Jie Kai), evnethough living in the same house, was raised differently, and seen as a gay person (because of his line of work, which is designing, insted of being intersted in the Ba Bao Tang bussiness. Da Fengs aunt and uncle, the daughter of the chairman and son-in-law, also the parents of Yang Yang, have been fighting for the 80 billion NT bussniss, but the chairman, being 80 years old simply doesn't die, and it doesnt help that one day, as the chairman gets into and car-accident and the family refuses to have an emergency operation, Xie Fu An (Chen Qiao En) saves him by giving him some chinese medicin. As time passes the chairman finds out that Fu An is the daughter of Chung Xiang, the love of his life and the woman he tricked. Hurt by guilt the chairman decides to make the person who marrys Fu An the heir of the company..

Well, I used an entire weekend, maratoning this one, and gotta say, love it. Eventhough Ive heard the story a gizillion (alot) times before, it didnt ruin it for me. Beginning is funny, and I like the new twist with the marriage and stuff, but still same story; rich crumpy guy and silly naive girl fall in love, but ups!.. can't be together since crumpy guy did some bad things and gotta pay for it..
I had a moment, getting all teary, but that was just because it was waay different than real life, and too sad at the same time. At that point, I had givin it a 5 ☆, but the episodes became too lengthy and way to much "i hate you" and "never wanna see you again".. The actor Lan Cheng Long was surpisenly good, and Chen Qiao En is the usual (its getting boring seeing her doing the same roles over and over and over and over again). Ending was too weak aswell, but all in all, an okay watch.
