Go Hye Rim (Han Ye Seul) is a fortuneteller known as “Madame Antoine” due to her supposed spiritually connection to Marie Antoinette. She uses her intelligence and keen sense to read her clientele. When Choi Soo Hyun (Sung Joon), an expert psychologist, opens his clinic upstairs, they clash instantly. Partially out of petty revenge, he chooses to enlist her in his psychological experiment to prove that love does not exist. As part of the experiment, he and two other men will woo Hye Rim. However, what will happen as he begins to fall in love for real? And will she ever be able to believe in him again when the truth of this experiment is revealed?

I can’t believe I finished this one. This drama is SO weird. It started off as a really strange and peculiar drama, fortunately it picked up later. Can’t hide I was SO close to just drop it. Firstly, it’s because of the bizarre ‘experiment’ we get introduced to. Fool a woman into falling in love just to test how much she would sacrifice for that person. All that to prove that love doesn’t exist, and that it’s just some drug infused by the brain. What the heck? That made the whole thing so predictable! HOWEVER, it doesn’t go as you expect, maybe that’s why I finished it. It was hard to continue in the beginning when I kept feeling the need to punch Sung Joon in his handsome, smirking face. After all, he doesn't deserve that pain for being an excellent actor. And trust me, any guy who gets me from 0 to "gosh, you are a JERK" within the first five minutes of a drama is an excellent actor, bizarre storyline and complete spectacular of psychological ethics aside.  In the description, they had put ‘psychology’, so I did expect a lot more of that in the drama. I loved the small cases they had in between, but I just wasn’t satisfied with it. Overall, a weird drama with a smooth save in the middle.

Jang Yoon Ha (UEE) is the youngest daughter of a chaebol family, but she longs to find a man who will love her and not her wealth. So she goes to work at a food market and pretends that she comes from a poor background. Meanwhile, Yoon Ha’s manager is Choi Joon Ki (Sung Joon), a man who is determined to succeed to leave his destitute upbringing behind him. He even begins to think that marrying a well-connected woman will finally give him the lifestyle he desperately seeks. In her job, Yoon Ha makes fast friends with her co-worker, Lee Ji Yi (Im Ji Yun), and also meets Yoo Chang Soo (Park Hyung shik), the heir to the mall conglomerate where the food market is located. Chang Soo is very accustomed to his well-to-do lifestyle and enjoys having women fawn all over him because of his wealth. That’s why he is intrigued by Yoon Ha’s complete lack of interest in him.

I had waited so long for this drama to complete so I can watch it at one go, so believe me when I say that before I started I already had this feeling of loving it. Don’t know why, maybe because it had what I’ve been looking for in a drama. Rich and powerful chaebols, and finally this time the main handsome guy is the poor one (he is not that poor, but this time it was the girls family that opposed). I think it was my big anticipation for it that made the drama good, not the actual drama. The story was exciting and entertaining at the beginning, but somehow it fell in a loop, where the same problem occurred again and again. It kinda gets tiresome in the end, I just wanted to skip till the end, but Sung Joon didn’t let me :b He really did become this ambiguous man who wanted power and respect for his family, the character it is. I really liked him in the beginning because, you really couldn’t figure out if he was the good guy or the bad guy who turns good. He keeps making you change your mind on him all the time, I liked that. Uee has definitely made progress as an actress, and as a person who have watched all her projects/dramas, I can tell she really overcame the “Idol-turned-actress” title and became a real actress. Both couples had chemistry and a good vibe, but as I started with, the same problems kept occurring so it really didn’t make any progress towards the end. To conclude, I liked it, but not my favorite.

Discovery of Romance Review

After dating five years Kang Tae Ha (Eric) and Han Yeo Reum (Jung Yoo Mi) suddenly break up, leaving Tae Ha wondering why and unable to move on. Yeo Reum on the other hand moved on and started dating Nam Ha Jin (Sung Joon), and has the upper hand in the relationship, not letting Ha Jin get away with anything.  After the messy break-up the two didn’t meet again, but when Yeo Reum finds out that Ha Jin is on a blind date behind her back, she follows him to the hotel, and by chance of fate she happens to sit down opposite of Tae Ha. This leads to a twirl of misunderstandings and fights, and eventually the two go their different ways.

Still unaware why Yeo Reum broke up with him, Tae Ha decides to hire Yeo Rum to do the furniture of his new company, in order to find out why she broke up with him. Yeo Reum on the other hand hates Tae Has guts, and refuses to work with him first, but due to her debt she reluctantly agrees. Not wanting to marry Ha Jin while having a debt, she starts working with Tae Ha, but refuses to tell Ha Jin about Tae Ha, much to Tae Has amusement… What’s going to happen?

Sorry for the kind of dull summary, but it really is better - honestly.

The drama is very good actually. From the actors, to screenplay, and all the way to the dialogues, the entire drama is very well written and portrayed. I like the comedy, the sass and the sarcasm, even the retributions, which by the way are quite reasonable. It is not a drama with shocking twists and family drama, rather a story of lovers, and how life actually is - with of course really good looking and rich male leads. (LOL)

All actors are great, and they really are good at portraying these characters, as if they are them. Also the dialogues are so well written that I was excited while watching, because you really do need a bit of reality as well as sass in order to make it interesting.

But that’s it. There is nothing else; it does not have the extra umph, or the extra fluttering or complications. I don’t know, it is a good drama but kind of ends there, no more.

Gu Seo Jin (Hyun Bin) is a third-generation chaebol who runs the theme park Wonder Land. He seemingly has everything: looks, brains and fortune. He is also in line to become the next CEO of Wonder Group, the conglomerate his family owns, though his cousin Ryu Seung Yeon (Han Sang Jin) who oversees Wonder Hotel is his rival for the position, but Goo Seo Jin has dissociative identity disorder, DID. Whenever his heart rate exceeds 150, another personality emerges, and unlike Goo Seo Jin's usual cold, cynical and ruthless self, Robin is kind, gentle and has a savior complex. Jang Ha Na (Han Ji Min) has just returned to Korea after spending several years in the United States with Cirque du Soleil. Like her grandfather and father before her, she is set to take over as circus master of the circus show at Wonder Land, which had once been the park's primary attraction. Jang Ha-na vows to save the failing circus and dreams of revamping it back to its former glory, but she finds herself butting heads with Goo Seo Jin, who wants to get rid of it due to low-ticket sales and high overhead costs. With every antagonistic encounter with Jang Ha Na, Goo Seo Jin notes the alarming spike on his heart monitor, and the two become further entangled with each other.

First of all watching this right after Kill Me Heal Me is not a clever move, because no matter what I would be comparing those 2 and that wouldn’t be fair for Hyde, Jekyll and I. However I will do my best to be as objective as possible. While watching this I had too many opinions about it, on one hand: Hyun Bin, on the other hand: bad writing. I can say that it was good in the first few episodes, but after episode 8 it became too boring they are just dragging and dragging, I don't think that anything new happened after that. My guess is that the writers suddenly quit and the production team had to film something for every week until episode 20. Meaningless plot lines were dragged out, hypnosis was treated like some sort of super power, and I don't know but I'm pretty sure this writer didn't do much research on DID (I'm not saying I know more about DID than she does, but I'm pretty sure DID doesn't work like that!). The plot idea was good and had potential, but the final drama didn't live up to the expectations I had before watching it. I was missing the feeling of a deep, well-elaborated story, it failed to really grip me. It had lovely moments, was overall okay to watch, but it's definitely not the best drama out there. I feel bad for Hyun Bin, this was supposed to be his grand comeback to dramaworld, don’t worry Hyun Bin I’ll wait for your next success ;)
Han Ji Min's character and acting was not up to scratch. Although I have only seen a couple of her previous works, I know she is an amazing actress, but she did not fit at all with her character. Jang Ha Na should be a strong character who is independent when not concerned with her love from Robin/Seo Jin, but Ji Min made her a weak and pathetic character. Chemistry you ask? Nope, nothing. They were cute together; they just never had the kind of love that got you in the gut, or made you think that you’d go move the mountains yourself if it meant that they could be together. They were a sweet, but take-it-or-leave-it kind of couple. Don’t get me wrong, I'm not hating against the drama, the writers or Han Ji Min, I just feel the drama would have been better if it was written differently and executed differently, after all it had the potential.

Bunjis Verdict

Okay, that was an emotional rollercoaster. I don’t remember being this upset about/because of a drama, since Boys Before Flowers, and even then, it didn’t last as long as this. I agree with Kamji that the writes either died, changed, or had so many people, because after episode 8, it just went downhill. I felt that the writer, was like several people, instead of one (DID?). It was uncoercive, messy and quite frankly enraging. I have in my life never experienced so many mixed signals in a drama and end up with something stupid as this. I say stupid because DID is not at all like this version of crap. I am no psychologist, but NO ONE has this kind of second personality. They actually created a main character, so freaking unlikeable, and the second personality, who by the way still is the main character, more likeable and “heroic”. Just to make it clear, THEY ARE STILL THE SAME PERSON. If that doesn’t annoy you, there is the crap about co-existing, and living with both… but he is not real! Urgh… I am both furious and upset, and I very annoyed that Sung Joon’s character doesn’t fit in my brain - like he portrayed his character very well. But I can’t even like him, because everything else about this is so upsetting. Han Ji Min is as Kamji said, just dumb (that is my use of word, not hers). I don’t get any of it.

Thank God, I watched this in one go. I don’t think I would’ve been able to watch it otherwise… And yes, I think I am hating on this drama… sorry Hyun Bin, Han Ji Min and Sung Joon… even of you did a decent job…

All in all, a typical Korean drama, but one I wouldn’t watch ever again… nor recommend.

Can We Get Married Review

This drama revolves around four couples who all have different struggles with marriage.

Jung Hoon (Sung Joon) and Hye Yoon (Jung So Min) are a young couple with their heads full of love. Even though Hye Yoon is quite temperamental, Jung Hoon loves her for it and even lets her use him as a punching bag. The two become engaged after Jung Hoon proposes, but suffer backlash when Hye Yoon’s money –driven mother and Jung Hoon’s overbearing mother face each other head on. Now the supposed love wedding ends up as preparation nightmare.

Ki Joong (Kim Young Kwang) and Dong Bi (Han Groo) are a couple of five years, but when their best friends Jung Hoon and Hye Yoon become engaged, Dong Bi wants more out of their relationship. To her surprise Ki Joong refuses her and tells her that he wants to break up. To make matters worse few days later Ki Joong decides to get married to his father’s business partner’s daughter, so that his father will invest in his restaurant. This should make Dong Bi move on, but her heart doesn’t want to let go.

Hye Yoon’s older sister Hye Jin (Jung Ae Yun) married a divorcee Do Hyun (Kim Sung Min) whom she became pregnant with after he cheated on his wife with her. Ever since they got married she had been treated as a slave, which she had willingly done until she one day finds out that he has been cheating on her with a younger model. This makes her question her relationship with him, and whether or not he really loves her.

The last couple is a two times divorcee Min Ho (Kim Jin Soo) and old maiden Deul Rae (Choi Hwa Jung), who despite their old age fall in love like teenagers, but wonder if they should even be doing that at their age.

The drama focuses on the theme whether a couple should get married, or should stay married, and how their mothers/families are a big part of the separation and the misery of wedding planning…

I don’t know if you understood the review, but the drama is quite easy to follow and if you miss anything, they are quite good to repeat themselves.

It is one of those classic Korean dramas about family feud and incredibly stubborn mothers (like amazing). There was a point where I felt so happy that my mother is as mild a meddler compared to these. Like these women are not the classic “envelope-with-money-giving-so-that-you-stay-away-from-my-child” kind of women, they seriously go all the way (minus the horribly illegal).

The cast was wisely chosen, except for Jung So Min, whom I basically just dislike, or rather she is just so unlikable. I don’t know if it’s because of her characters but she just annoys me, and is such a under average actress. Sung Joon, who I am seeing for the third time in a drama, is quite good here. His character isn’t cool or dashing, he’s really just a mama’s boy who doesn’t know how to stand on his own two feet.

But the reason for watching this is the two couples acted by Kim Young Kwang, Han Groo, Jung Ae Yun and Kim Sung Min. Besides the stories being well-written, well-acted, and well casted, the chemistry is so amazing that I couldn’t stop watching this drama. The two youngsters who fear love more than anything and the fighting couple was just perfect for me. A double thumps up.

Okay so do I recommend it? Yeah, for people who like this kind of theme, but it might become a bit heavy later though…

Kamji's Verdict

This drama was too heavy for me. I felt like quitting it halfway through, but I’m not a quitter! So I continued the drama, but hell no I’m going to watch that again. I have read other bloggers have reported hating all the characters and finding the plot draggy. However, I’ve also heard that it’s realistic and more nuanced and well made than the typical Kdrama romance. All I know is that it was too draggy and the storyline were stuck at one point for 10 episodes straight! Favorite thing was how realistic the characters felt. The bickering moms annoyed me at first, and they still did at the end hahah. The main couple… well, lovely chemistry, but the actress annoyed me as much as the mum did, so very bad! The only positive about this drama were Sung Joon, yet again the main actor rescued the drama from a total disaster!

In the deep forest there are some mythical devine creatures that protect and take care of nature. They have special powers such as making nature bloom, but if they are treathened they might turn into a dangerous animal, a beast. To the people these creatures are known as monsters or gumihos. This is the story of the creature Wol Ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk) who falls in love with Yoon Seo Hwa (Lee Yeon Hee & Yoon Se Ah) and decides to turn into a human, a process which takes 100 days. 20 years later, it is the story of Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi) now half beast half human, the son of Seo Hwa and Wol Ryung. Kang Chi has been taken in by the a great nobleman and raised as human, but will soon have to face his true self, and even experience being an outcast.

What is really nice about the drama is the continues presense of Wol Ryung and Seo Hwa, otherwise it would have just been a repeat of history, quite boring. I really liked that couple and that they appeared again, and not just stayed as the couple that failed in the past. For a fantasy drama I think it did really fine. It touches the story of mystical creatures in the fores which is quite famous in asia, mainly china and korea. But it is not quite about Gumiho's which could be a bit confusing. The people in the drama call the beast a gumiho but it isn't the story of gumiho.. The actors did a great job, I did see some awkward acting from Sung Joon.. But overall it was good. In my opinion Suzy did well as well, also the character fits her good. Seungi did good althought I just couldnt see him as a 20 year old. Anyhow, nice drama, it was very alright but not the one you burn for watching. But close to it. I recommend it, a nice historical drama.

Bunji's Verdict

To start of I don’t think there is a drama like this one out there, in the positive way. But the storyline is seriously typical. You know the entire ‘monster-wanting-to-be-human-falls-in-love-with-a-human-who-loves-him-for-whatever-he-is” kind of drama. Though the beginning was fresh, even sad, and the drama continued in the same tragedy kind of feel, I was a bit annoyed by the general story of ‘history’ being repeated. Even though I can say I was excited at the ending by the thought there might be a season 2, I remembered how the first season started, and how they would just continue to repeat the story.

I love Lee Seung Gi and his characters, also the way he is portraying them, which is always a treat. Though this is my third time seeing Suzy in a different role, I can’t seem to enjoy her acting. She seriously needs a better character to portray. Generally the entire cast was good, so not much to say there.

Now, should you watch it? I think it is a good story about the Gumiho’s and a decent love story, so yeah go ahead!

White Christmas Review

This drama special is about 7 students and one teacher of Susin High School, an independent private school with the 1% of all Korean top students. Anything except studying is forbidden, and they are rating by points they get while attending school.
On a 8 day vacation - from the 24th Dec, 7 students: Park Moo Yul (Baek Sung Hyun) the schools ‘goody’ known for good behavior and has never broken a rule, Yoon Eun Sung (Esom) known as the prettiest girl in the school and liked by everyone, Yoon Su (Lee Soo Hyuk) known as ‘Angel’, because his father donated loads of money to the school and like that managed to occupy a spot, Choi Chi Hoon (Sung Joon) the schools smartest kid never leaving the number one spot at school ranking and the one Moo Yul is struggling to beat in any test, Jo Young Jae (Kim Young Kwang) hated by all students for his patronizing personality and ‘bully’ attitude, Yang Kang Mo (Kwak Jung Wook) who films everything and everyone, but has a handicap, he has and earplug, and lastly Lee Jae Kyu (Hong Jong Hyun) the only one that doesn’t seem to fit in the bunch since no one knows him. The teacher Yoon Jong Il (Jung Suk Won) got the task to take care of the students during the break, but is shortly joined by a psychologist Kim Yo Han (Kang Sang Kyung)who was involved in a car accident close by, and seeks refuge at the school, with a slight head injury.
None of the students like each other and try to stay out of each other’s ways, they at one point find out that they all got a mysterious black letter, written exactly the same way. At first most of them are treating it as a joke, but as time passes by, Moo Yul gets interested in it, and is surprised that all 7 are involved. While trying to figure out the letter, another school mate happens to be at the school, Kang Mi Reu (Kim Woo Bin), the schools dare-devil, who is suspended and wants to make Young Jae, whom he believes is responsible for it, pay for it. All that is put aside, when someone is murdered, and the telephone lines aren’t working.
Now they are stranded in the middle of nowhere, and with a murderer amongst them…

I’m sorry, I was really trying to cut it down, and it somehow became too reveling, then I wrote a lot, and yeah, less revealing: P Any ways, this drama is brilliant, with a brilliant cast (no idols) and amazing storyline. Though I have to admit, I have no idea how on earth it managed to escalate that fast without me rolling on the floor crying. Seriously, like every episode made my stomach turn, not being nauseous, but scared (in a good way) because I really would never know what I’d do in their position. I didn’t like the actress, though she grew on me, and some of the other actor did annoy me in the beginning, but as you watch them you simply wish for their well-being. I really recommend this, sincerely. It is very psychological, but it uses 8 episodes too the very fullest, and the tension does not let you down in any way. The only reason it’s not completely full rated is that there are times when I just knew what was going to happen, like 80% of the time that is.

Kamjis Verdict
Hmm, I really don’t know about this. Would you be surprised if I say I didn’t quite like it… First of all the show is anything but a traditional kdrama.  It isn't romantic.  It isn't funny.  It isn't melodramatic, either.  It's bleak, terrifying, heartbreaking, and disturbing all at once. The one thing that made this series work so well was the cast.  This drama possibly had the best cast I have seen on any kdrama--ever.  I don't say that lightly.  It was a cast of mostly teenagers, but each and every character (okay, with one exception) was layered and complex.  Even the villain of the series had interesting moments of depth that steered clear of caricature.  While I didn't like all of the characters, I grew to understand them.  The cast members were phenomenal at portraying characters who were so human that you hurt for them.
I think maybe what ruined the show for me was that everyone kept saying how dark and terrifying it is… but it wasn’t. I mean everything was perfect, the cast, the plot (I liked), how it was directed, most of the things was good. I just can’t put my finger on one negative thing, so why did it leave me with an unpleasant feeling that it wasn’t that great? I guess I’ll just ponder over that for now.

When Byung Hee, the leader of the group, finds out his muse, a girl he has fallen for, goes to the school he decides that they should transfer anyway. However it doesnt go as easy as they might have thought. At the school they meet their rival, another band called Strawberry Fields. Now it all starts, the fight for their friendship and passion for playing music.

Writing review for this drama is so extremely hard because I really dont want to ruin anything for you guys!.
This drama is my kind of drama. Period. Lol.. It's got it all I love, the delinquents, the fights, the friendship and all !At first I really didnt know whether to love or hate this drama. I seriously cried after the first two episodes and didnt want to watch anymore. But I couldnt not watch it. The characters are great, the story is great, I even loved the ending! I really couldnt figure out a happy ending because it was all so sad but I loved it. One weird thing is that it somehow felt like a low-budget drama(technically). I dont know why, it just seemed that way, maybe its just me, lets see what Bunji thinks. It wasnt too long either, it reminded me of japanese drama a bit, maybe because the episodes were same length. Anyway I cant write more without spoiling. I extremely major recommend this one if you like delinquent dramas :D

This could have been an amazing drama, but of course they had to add a stuffy romance in it. I’m seriously annoyed with these love stories, like since when do kids think so deeply about stuff, omg… Maybe that’s why they chose such that way, but really I’m sick of these stupid “have to” separations. Even though I get WHY they split, I don’t get WHY had to announce it… Eish, and continuously those 2 boys loving one girl, stuffy!

Anyways, this is heartbreaking, heck GROUNDBREAKING actually, except for that typical romance part. I honestly believe it could have been more amazing if it wasn’t such a big part of the drama, just added a bit more, relations either with family or the guys, anything could have beaten it. Of course they should be romance, I’m not saying otherwise, but too much man, just too much…

Still my rating is focused on the overall drama, and that cool ending, any other ending would’ve just been too… Hollywood…

What was supposed to be a little white lie, ended up as a huge scandal. Gong Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye) was betrayed by one of her friends, Yoo So Ran, by getting her first love taken, and for the past three years she has been tortured with patronization.
When she one day is ’fired’ from her job, she goes to a nightclub, gets wasted and meets Hyun Sang Hee (Sung Joon) who finds an interests in her. Shortly after Hyun Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan), a Hotel Chaebol (successor) and the big brother of Sang Hee, enters the nightclub, making Sang Hee run for I, which ends with Ki Joon having to take Ah Jung to the hospital
After the eventful night, Ah Jung, with a hangover, goes to the hairdressers and happens to meet Yoo So Ran, and in order to shut her up she says she is married, but not to whom.
Ah Jung decides to pay back the money Ki Joon used in the hospital on her, so she goes to the hotel where Ki Joon is the Chief, only to set the ’marriage-lie’ in motion. Now everyone thinks Ah Jung and Ki Joon got married in secret…

This is the first time I’m left without words for a drama. It’s not bad, nothing like that, but somehow just ‘like that’. Lol, doesn’t make sense… Anyhow, if you want a decent love story, loads of laughs and an amazing actor + actress, this is it. Even though I’m a Yoon Eun Hye fan, I have to admit the star of the drama most defiantly was Kang Ji Hwan. I’ve never seen him act before, well I don’t think I have, but damn he’s a superb actor, already googling his dramas.
The drama as a whole a bit disappointing, but the main actors make it all worth it. And if these two can’t get the ratings up, they should at least date. They make a great couple! Chemistry kaboom!
